040 - Super Mario Bros.

Next weekend, The Super Mario Bros Movie will be released. 

But 30 years ago, Super Mario Bros came to theatres. Starring Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo as Mario Mario and Luigi Mario, this film is a cult classic and a completely original take on the Italian-American plumbers we all remember from childhood games. In this episode, we talk about the non-stop references to game play that occur, the best frame of mind to go into the film with, and what made early 90's movies so special.
